The Schengen Multifunctional Training Center, as an educational institution whose actions, policies, and programs have a major impact on the community, promotes a policy of openness both towards society and the media.

The Secretariat Office, Classified Documents, and Archive within the Schengen Multifunctional Training Center ensures free and unrestricted access for the public and media to information of public interest.
The public information activity at the Schengen Multifunctional Training Center is regulated by Law no. 544/2001 on free access to public interest information, with subsequent amendments and completions, and The methodological norms for applying Law no. 544/2001 on free access to public interest information, approved by Government Decision no. 123/2002, with subsequent amendments and completions.

Ways to Appeal
If a person considers that their right regarding access to public interest information has been violated, they may file an administrative complaint to the head of the authority or public institution to which the information was requested, in accordance with the provisions of Article 21 paragraph (2) of Law no. 544/2001 on free access to public interest information, with subsequent amendments and completions, as well as Articles 32-35 of the Methodological Norms for the application of Law no. 544/2001 on free access to public interest information, approved by Government Decision no. 123/2002, amended and supplemented by Government Decisions no. 478/2016 and no. 830/2022.
Models of administrative complaints can be found in annexes 5 and 6 of the Methodological Norms.

Also, if the applicant considers that their rights guaranteed by law have been harmed, they may file a complaint at the administrative contentious section of the tribunal in whose territorial jurisdiction they reside or where the headquarters of the institution or public authority is located, as provided by Article 22 paragraph (1) of Law no. 544/2001, with subsequent amendments and completions, and Article 36 of the Methodological Norms of Law no. 544/2001, approved by Government Decision no. 123/2002, completed and amended by Government Decisions no. 478/2016 and no. 830/2022.
